Lady Scots host Tracy Wills meet and fun run, honor graduating seniors

The Lady Scots track and field teams hosted the Tracy Wills Invitational Meet on March 19 at Germany Park. HP welcomed 9 teams at the meet, with some schools coming from as far away as Odessa and the Texas Panhandle. The varsity team placed third overall in the Invitational, and JV placed second.
For the varsity team, Falyn Reaugh took first place in the high jump, breaking the meet record with a height of 5’6″. The former record was 5’5″ set in 1999 by Jennifer Kearney. Edie Terrel was also a first-place finisher in the pole vault. Click here for more varsity results.

The festivities included fun runs for younger students and a special ceremony honoring the team’s seniors at their final home meet. The Lady Scots would like to thank Chick-fil-A, EatZi’s, Trader Joe’s, and Einstein Bros. Bagels for their generous support. The Lady Scots will race at the Midway Relays beginning at 3 p.m. today at Panther Stadium in Hewitt. |
Track & field teams give back to the community with supply drive

The HP girls track and field teams sponsored a collection drive of personal care items including toiletries, batteries, socks and flip-flops to benefit Airborne Angel Cadets. Organized by the captains, the drive netted 10 full boxes of supplies. The Lady Scots also made coloring books and attached crayons inside for ER patients at Children’s Medical Center and their siblings. The hospital distributes approximately 75 coloring books a day. |
Flying Scots fly high in Carrollton Relays

The Flying Scots track team traveled to Carollton-Farmers Branch ISD to participate in the CFB Relays on March 18. The varsity team finished as meet runner-up and JV finished fourth against a competitive field of teams.
