The Scots football team is advancing to the third round of the playoffs after defeating Frisco Independence 45-3 on Nov. 18. Highland Park will now face Mansfield Lake Ridge at 1 p.m., Friday Nov. 25 at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco.

The Scots have outscored their two playoff opponents by a total score of 115-5, but HP will face a tough test against Lake Ridge, the 2015 UIL 5A state finalist. Head Coach Randy Allen and Athletic Director Johnny Ringo would like to thank the fans who have supported the team during the first two games, and they are encouraging all fans who are in town to enjoy some post-Thanksgiving football at The Star.
