Celebrate Your Scot Pride at the Homecoming Game Tonight

Highland Park High School will welcome Scots of all ages tonight at the homecoming football game against North Mesquite tonight. The game will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Highlander Stadium.

The 2015 homecoming queen nominees will be introduced on the field at halftime. Students will vote for the queen at the dance, which begins at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 26 in the HPHS gym, and the winner will be crowned at 10:30 p.m. that night. Please be sure to show up on time, as students will not be allowed in after 10 p.m.

The nominees are Clare Obenchain, Madeline Bonnet, Julia Jenevein, Laura Hickey, Allie Porter and Nicole Gottlich.

Cheerleaders & Scotsmen Host Annual Hamburger Supper Tonight

The Highland Park Cheerleaders and Scotsmen are inviting the community to their annual Hamburger Supper fundraiser before tonight’s homecoming game in the HPHS cafeteria. The students will serve up delicious burgers and fries from Jack’s Burger House, plus frozen yogurt from Plaza Health Foods and cookies from JD’s Chippery.

The event will be held from 5-7 p.m. with takeout from 4:30-6. Tickets are $8 in advance and $9 at the door. Attendees can also purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win one of five baskets filled with items from generous neighborhood businesses and supporters. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25.

#2 Texas-Ranked Lady Scots Volleyball Plays Today: 5:30pm Start

Lady Scots Volleyball continues to seek the state championship late this afternoon in their home gym. Students get in for free with their varsity football ticket.

The Scots are currently ranked #2 in Texas 6A by the Texas Coaches. They would love to have a BIG crowd at home; so, please encourage all Scots fans to come out and support the Ladies this evening. JV plays immediately after Varsity.
