Lady Scots soccer advances to Region II tournament 

Postseason Update

The Lady Scots soccer team defeated Frisco Wakeland 2-1 in the regional quarterfinal round of the UIL 5A playoffs yesterday and will advance to the semifinal round of the Region II tournament Friday and Saturday. HP will face Mansfield Lake Ridge at 10 a.m. Friday, April 7 at Standridge Stadium in Carrollton. Tickets will be available at the gate, $10 for adults and $5 for students.

The winner of Friday’s game will face the winner of the Prosper/Mansfield Legacy match in the regional finals at 10 a.m. Saturday, also at Standridge.  Click here for the playoff bracket.

Lady Scots Soccer Continues Playoff Run

Lady Scots Soccer AdvanceHP has advanced to the area round and faces Sachse at 6 p.m. Friday, April 1 at Richardson ISD’s Wildcat-Ram Stadium.

Tickets will be available at the gate: $5 for adults and $3 for students. HP is the home team.

The Lady Scots soccer team posted a playoff win with a 10-0 bi-district round victory against Irving Nimitz March 24. Sarah O’Neal led the Scots with four goals and an assist, and Frances Ann Matise and captain Savanna Jones followed with two goals. Grace Bass provided a rare assist from the defensive line, and contributed to the shutout defense which has allowed only one regulation goal in the last 10 matches.

HP is seeking its 6th state championship
The Lady Scots soccer team wrapped up its regular season with a 10-0 win over Richardson on March 18. The Lady Scots earned second place in District 10-6A with a 12-2-0 record and will advance to the postseason.
HP will face Irving Nimitz in the bidistrict round of the UIL 6A state championship playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24 at Highlander Stadium. Click here for the complete playoff bracket.
