HP D1 lacrosse club team beats rival Jesuit 9-6


The highly anticipated game between No. 1 ranked Highland Park against No. 2 ranked Dallas Jesuit was a slug fest from start to finish. HP retained control for most of the game and won 9-6 in front of a packed home crowd at Highlander Stadium. For the Scots, senior attackmen Jackson Durham and Hoyt Matisse combined for 11 points, with Durham notching 2 goals and 4 assists and Matisse registering 4 goals and 1 assist. Also adding individual goals for Highland Park were Parker Alexander, Owen Seebold and Chris Buell. 

The Scots travel to Houston tonight to face the Woodlands for a rematch of the 2015 state championship game. The defending state champion Scots square off against Kingwood on Saturday. For more information, visit www.highlandparklacrosse.org.

HP Field Hockey club schedules spring tryouts

The HP girls field hockey club team will hold tryouts from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Mondays from April 18-May 9 on the HPMS field. No experience or equipment is needed for tryouts. To register, contact[email protected].

The fall season begins with a summer morning camp, held two weeks before school starts, with games through mid-November against DFW-area private school teams. Players have an option to earn fall ninth-period off-campus PE credit.

Join HP Lacrosse for March 26 Patriot Cup
The HP Varsity DI and DII club teams will once again play in the Patriot Cup March 26 at SMU’s Ford Stadium. This year will also feature defending national champion University of Denver, ranked No. 1 nationally, against Penn State. 
The schedule for the 2016 Patriot Cup is:
  • Noon: Denver (2015 D1 NCAA Champs) vs Penn State
  • 2 p.m.: HPD1 vs Westlake
  • 4 p.m.: HPD2 vs McKinney

Lady Scots Lacrosse to host Allen March 29


Join the HP Girls Lacrosse club teams as they take on Allen March 29 at Highlander Stadium. The JV contest begins at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity at 7:30.
